Call for thematic sessions

The GIMC SIMAI Young 2026 conference invites participants to propose minisymposia on topics related to Computational Mechanics and Industrial and Applied Mathematics
Minisymposia are intended to provide a forum for focused discussions on specific themes, bringing together young researchers to present and exchange ideas in a collaborative environment.

Each minisymposium should include 4 to 6 presentations centered around a coherent topic of current interest. Proposals may cover, but are not limited to, areas such as:

  • Computational methods for solid and fluid mechanics
  • Multiphysics and multiscale modeling
  • Uncertainty quantification and data-driven modeling
  • Machine learning for scientific computing
  • Reduced-order modeling and surrogate methods
  • Numerical Linear Algebra
  • Applications in engineering, physics, and applied sciences

Proposals must be prepared using the official LaTeX template available on the conference website and sent by email to the Organizing Committee at gimc-simai-young26@unipi.it.

The deadline for submission is 31/12/2025.
Notification of acceptance will be communicated shortly after the review by the  Committee.

We strongly encourage PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists to submit proposals and actively contribute to the success of the event.
